Key Responsibilities:

  • Solid understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure for multi entity structure including consolidations with a good understanding of GAAP.
  • Perform or oversee accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to monthly reconciliations of Loan Portfolio, CI note, fixed assets and depreciation expenses, Other Account receivables, Accounts Payable, Net assets, Intercompany transaction, Sub debts, Grants (Donation) Receivable and revenue. Perform/Assist in the monthly/quarterly closing of each entity.
  • Perform or oversee reconciliation of transactions and reports from various systems of records to the Intacct General Ledgers per entity. Good understanding of information flows and mapping to General Ledger.
  • Assist in handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Assist in compilation and preparation of the monthly financial statements, including budget to actual reports, preparing variance analysis.
  • Response to inquiries from other departments regarding accounting recording, reporting requests and other support.
  • Identify discrepancies, research on financial reports variance, perform accounting procedure to correct variance.
  • Prepare/Assist in Financial reporting including Key Financial Indicators
  • Assist in various tax filing preparation, including 990, State return and Partnership K1’s.
  • Maintain the preparation of various workpaper schedules for all key balance sheet accounts, Net assets, and significant revenue accounts for audit and review purposes
  • Assist in annual external audit, compile requested materials, respond to audit questions raised, especially inquiries on accounting procedure and treatment applied on sample transactions.
  • Performing accounting research and analysis as needed
  • Assist to ensure a clean and timely year end audit on multiple entities.
  • Assist in annual Prospectus preparation and other financial reports.
  • Assist in Grant reporting and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with relevant work experience ; CPA or advanced degree a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage Intacct a plus.
  • Track record of effectively meeting deadlines, solving issues, fostering collaboration, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to convey financial information to diverse audiences clearly and consisely.
  • Good organizational skills and desire to learn, grow and mentor.
