Bay Area Impact: Investing in Small Business With the California Rebuilding Fund

On Thursday, May 27, our Bay Area Impact: Investing in Small Business with the California Rebuilding Fund featured Bay Area Council Economic Institute Senior Director Sean Randolph speaking with Laura Tyson, Distinguished Professor of the Graduate School at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley; Co-Chair of Gov. Newsom’s Council of Economic Advisors; and ex officio on the Governor’s Task Force on Jobs and Competitiveness about how the California Rebuilding Fund is focused on helping small businesses—especially minority-owned small businesses—recover, rebuild wealth, rehire their workforce and support our local economies. The webinar also included a presentation about how small business owners can learn how the fund works and how other local business owners have benefitted from the program.

Additional speakers included Bulbul Gupta, President and CEO, Pacific Community Ventures, and Beth Bafford, Vice President of Strategy and Syndications, Calvert Impact Capital.
