Team Profile
Joe is the Director of Strategy, New Product Legal and Operations at Calvert Impact, supporting the firm’s development and launch of new products in the environmental sustainability and small business sectors. In particular, he leads the firm’s management of several loan purchase facilities designed to support the small business ecosystem using funding from the State Small Business Credit Initiative. He is the Board Secretary and a dedicated volunteer of Pangea Educational Development, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering cultures of literacy, and has volunteered his time to several causes throughout the Chicagoland area. He lives just outside of Chicago with his wife and three children.
Before joining Calvert Impact:
Joe was Deputy General Counsel at Balyasny Asset Management, a global, multi-strategy investment firm. Prior to BAM, he was an Associate in the Investment Funds, Advisers and Derivatives practice group at Sidley Austin LLP. Joe is a native of Peoria, Illinois, and received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys:
Reading with his sons, distance running, carving out time to see movies in his Letterboxd watchlist, and all things baseball.
