Lucas Pappas

VP Risk, Operations, and Asset Management

Lucas manages Calvert Impact’s risk and asset management team, which supports transaction diligence, servicing, and monitoring for the Community Investment Note portfolio and other Calvert products.

Lucas has held a number of positions since joining Calvert Impact in 2010. Prior to leading the risk and asset management team, Lucas designed and led the Cut Carbon Note offering, an investment grade securitization program that has mobilized over $100 million for energy efficiency upgrades for commercial and multifamily buildings.

Lucas also served as a Director on Calvert Impact Capital’s investments team, where he underwrote, structured, and managed over $250 million in private credit and fund equity investments in the energy efficiency, affordable housing, microfinance, community development, and small business finance sectors. He also arranged and managed eight syndicated credit facilities that raised over $78 million from 19 institutional investors and family offices.

Lucas holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and East Asian Studies from Vanderbilt University. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, running, traveling, playing jazz and blues guitar, and reading widely across sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy, and history.
