Team Profile
Sarah is Director of Strategy focused on Calvert Impact’s syndications and capital advisory work. She supports a broad network of community-based financial intermediaries in their efforts to structure and raise appropriate capital to fuel their growth. She is also involved in the design and launch of new products that are built in response to market gaps, with a focus on Calvert Impact’s work to build secondary markets for CDFI originated small business loans.
Before joining Calvert Impact:
Sarah’s career passion is getting capital into communities that need it most by using prudent and innovative products. She has enjoyed more than 25 years of underwriting and supporting the strategic growth of CDFIs. She has worked with a wide range of borrowers from large national nonprofits to small rural organizations receiving their first debt capital. Sarah also has product development experience designing new debt and equity products for her nonprofit clients.
Sarah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Stanford University and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Sarah lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons.
